To achieve our mission and commitment we offer the following programs and services.

A

fter years of providing year-round services and programs for children and youth living in Ward 8 and primarily the Shipley Terrace, Garfield and Congress Heights neighborhoods, PCC frequently re-assessed its mission, programs and the needs of the community.   We understand  that the on-going problems of hopelessness, violence and school drop-out is linked to the stagnated problem of poverty in this community.   We will continue to analysis and research ways to assist disadvantaged parents by strengthen their ability to create an wholesome and nurturing home environment and to become self-sufficient.

The Moving On - A Life Changing Program designed to empower parents to autonomy through life and social skills development workshops and coaching.  Parent that have critical needs will receive a social history assessment,  a "plan of recover" with timeline, referrals, resources and guidance to assist in meeting their goals.  Parents and their families will be treated to family bonding activities and trips outside of the community.  We are welcome funds to support this activity and tickets to family orientated events and activities.
