Family Bonding Activities

We encourage parents to spend as much time as possible with their children to keep and enhance the bond between each other.  Depending on available funding the Parklands Community Center plan and recommend activities in the community and outside of the community that are either free of charge, affordable for generally low-income and/or those who have limited income.

Each year Family Bonding Retreats are planned to give families a reprieve from the community and family members a chance to have bonding time together.  And, together parents and the staff plan seasonal activities for the whole family.  Since 1980, the Parklands Community Center has sponsored field trips and family bonding retreats for over 1500 persons.
