
Low-income persons can
expect to receive the following supportive services:
- Assistance with
employment search, resume development, acquire a email address,
submit an application online, search a employment directory that is
updated weekly, ability to fax resumes and the use of the telephone.
Also, announcements of job fairs and apprenticeship trainings are
posted. Bus tokens are provided, if necessary to make a job
interview or until one receives it first pay check.
- Housing
assistance if a family is at threat of eviction or a family is
homeless can receive financial support (in partnership with the
Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness).
- Electric and
Gas financial assistance if a family is at threat of having their
service suspended (in partnership with the Community Partnership for
the Prevention of Homelessness).
- Referrals for
food, clothes and furniture.
- Mental health,
substance abuse, family related counseling is offered through
referrals to a relevant counselors or agencies.
Parents who have
accepted case management of their services will receive on-going
monitoring by staff. |
